It all began like any other client meeting, you sit down to go over a few things, and then the client request goes something like this...

"Okay, we are having a special event next year, and we just want a small banner on our website to make folks aware of it."

My usual inclination was okay, no problem. I'll send you over a few ideas by next week. But then, I started to ask questions about this event; it was a celebration of this organization's 50th Anniversary. The more I asked questions, the more I could see there was a story to be told here. My goal was to convince the client of the importance of this milestone, and a simple banner wasn't doing their organization justice. My discovery phase was underway, and what was to be a simple $100 banner graphic turned into a video production worth thousands!

I will never forget the feeling I had watching months of hard work displayed on a large screen at the event. I remembered all of the doubt and second-guessing. In the beginning, I tortured myself with doubting every step along the way that I couldn't accomplish this with my iPhone. Sure I have been in larger video productions in the past, but this was different; it was all on me to plan, develop, film, post-production, and delivering the finished video production.

Through this experience and countless others, I had proven that YOU CAN earn decent money by creating a video product for your client using mobile filmmaking.
